City police were called to investigate a report of a vehicle striking a Pedestrian on Depot Street. After investigation, police determined that 36-year-old Sara Frantz of Lusby, Maryland, exited an alley onto Depot Street and struck a pedestrian who was crossing the road. The library received a significant amount of water damage due to the flooding. At one point water was coming through the outside doors and down the stairs. There was water above the staff’s ankles as they were trying to elevate items to protect them from damage. The library will be closed Tuesday, July 7th as we contact our insurance and find a professional cleaning company. The children’s room and lower level will remain closed indefinitely.
