Logan County Commissioner has filed a lawsuit alleging defamation and malicious prosecution by a former supporter. Commissioner Diana Barnette filed a lawsuit Friday morning (10/24/26) against Greenville resident Chris Trent for defamation and malicious prosecution. The lawsuit stems from Trent’s unsuccessful legal challenge earlier this year to Barnette’s residency in the May Primary race.
