WILKINSON A 34-year-old Omar man is facing multiple charges following an alleged sexual assault at a Speedway gas station in Wilkinson early Saturday morning. According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, deputies and officers with the Logan and Chapmanville police departments responded to the business at approximately 3:04 a.m. on October 17, 2026, after receiving a report of a sexual assault.

PECKS MILL A 77-year-old Chapmanville man died Sunday following a single-vehicle crash in the Pecks Mill community of Logan County. West Virginia State Police identified the victim as Steve Disco. According to state police, a preliminary investigation determined that Disco lost control of his vehicle on Pond Drive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
