As the fight to contain the Iron and Cherry Fires in Tooele County, home units of firefighters are preparing to take control of the efforts.

Two of the remaining evacuation orders connected to the Iron and Cherry wildfires in northern Utah have been lifted.

The Hastings Fire in Tooele County, which initially grew quickly following its start on Saturday, has been 75% contained by firefighters.

A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead in Tooele County on Saturday morning.

A new wildfire broke out Saturday afternoon in Tooele County. The Hastings Fire is burning east of Aragonite and south of I-80.
