Disaster zone classification in Gillespie County extended for an additional 30 days. Commissioners Court have unanimously approved the extension. A case of the New World Screwworm was reported in a goat in Harper. The Commissioners also voted against a new delinquent tax collection firm recommended by Scott Fair, Gillespie Central Appraisal District's Chief Appraiser. The court also approved $50,000 in HOT funds for Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park renovations.

Gillespie County Sheriff Chris Ayala told KENS 5 an off-duty firefighter was running an errand when he came across a vehicle and two bodies off a rural road.

Investigators say there is no ongoing threat to the community after two people were found dead in what is believed to be a murder-suicide.

Gillespie County reported 2 bodies found at an address on Hahn Road yesterday afternoon. Sheriff Chris Ayala reported that they may not be from Gillespie County and the incident may be a murder suicide. The next of kin have been notified. No other details have been released.

A possible murder suicide is currently being investigated in Gillespie County, according to a GCSO Facebook post.  Authorities were called out to a call in the 700 Block of Hahn Road. Fredericksburg Gillespie County Texas Emergency Management says the county is Officially Drought-Free. According to the US Drought Monitor, 100% of the County is no longer in drought.
