HANOVER TWP. — A man from Plymouth was charged by Hanover Township police with stalking and intercepting communications alleging he placed a GPS tracking device on a woman’s vehicle.

Detective Sgt. Christopher Schwartz of Plymouth Township Police praised the woman's response, calling it "courageous actions by that homeowner."

A woman in Montgomery County called police from a locked bathroom, where she hid with her children, after a man broke into her home on Monday afternoon, officials claim. According to police, Juan Medina was arrested after he is alleged to have broken into a home along the 2900 block of Arch Road in Plymouth Township at about 1:45 p.m. on Monday. Police in Luzerne County said a North Carolina man brandished a firearm, threatened to kill the 14-year-old girl, then sexually assaulted her at a Plymouth home.

State Senator Lisa Baker visited Plymouth Historical Society at the recent Kielbasa Festival and presented them with a citation to commemorate their 40th anniversary. In celebration of its 40th Anniversary, the Plymouth Historical Society will dedicate a mural commemorating the 198 miners and 2 rescuers who lost their lives in the 1869 Avondale mining disaster, as well as all those who worked in the mines.
