TICKFAW — A 58-year-old man sitting near train tracks in Tickfaw was struck by a train on Monday night, Tickfaw Police Chief Frank DiBenedetto told WBRZ. The man was leaning against the train tracks about half a mile past the La. 442 railroad crossing when, around 7:37 p.m., a northbound train struck the man. He was "hit pretty hard," DiBenedetto said. Acadian Ambulance Service brought the man to the hospital, where he was treated and later released.Permalink| Comme
