A mini labradoodle named Elsa helped alert her owners to a spreading barn fire in Yorktown, Indiana, saving their home from serious damage early Monday morning.

Officials said the dog woke its owners up just in time for them to call 911, allowing for firefighters to arrive in time to prevent the fire from spreading.

Indiana is cleaning up from devastating flooding after a record amount of rainfall last week.  State officials say likely more than a thousand families and businesses have been displaced and are facing a long recovery.  In Yorktown, one of those is the local public library.  IPR’s Thomas Ouellette visited as librarians began facing the damage.
