Former Adams County, Indiana, deputy Daniel Girard, 39, of Decatur, has been charged with counterfeiting after police say he submitted forged documents to the city's Building and Zoning Department regarding a homeowners' association violation.

Daniel Girard, a former Adams County sheriff's deputy, is charged with counterfeiting and application fraud, following an ISP investigation into alleged forgery.
