A person was killed after they were hit by a vehicle in Torrington, police said. The crash happened just after 9:30 p.m. on Thursday on Route 202 (East Main Street) in the area of Torringford Street. Police said the pedestrian was hit by a Subaru that was driving eastbound on the road. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have not released their identity at this time.
