10/16 Prescott Valley hired a new Finance Director. Ben Ronquillo currently serves as Chief Administrative Officer for the Arizona State Land Department. Prior to that he was the Finance Director for 16-years in Litchfield Park. He starts his new job on November 30-th.

The Prescott Valley Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a runaway juvenile, Scarlett K. She was last seen on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, around 1am leaving her residence on Tonto Way. She is described as a 15-year-old female with brownish/red hair and blue eyes, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall. 10/13 The Yavapai County Attorney’s Office says 59-year-old Laura Ann Hopper of Prescott Valley, was recently found guilty of 2-nd degree burglary. YCSO says Hopper was providing housekeeping and light care to a man recovering from a surgery and other health issues in 2024. When the man’s prescription medications began to disappear, he told Hopper he no longer needed her services. 10/9 Prescott Valley Police are investigating a fatal incident in which a woman was killed by a backyard fire pit. Officials say at around 10:45-pm on September 24-th, fire and police responded to a home in the 8500-block of East Tracy Drive on a report of a man and woman injured. The woman was flown to a Phoenix burn unit where she succumbed to her injuries. A man was also injured, but refused treatment. The family of 58-year-old Tammy Dodson is warning others about the dangers of using gasoline on fires after Tammy died from injuries.

The injured woman was flown to a burn center in the Phoenix area and later died.
