9/1 Grand Canyon officials say 1-person remains missing from Saturday’s flood event at Phantom Ranch. The individual was hiking and camping with 2-other visitors who have since been found deceased. Stage-4 water restrictions will remain in place at the canyon for the foreseeable future due to an estimated 40% of the Transcanyon Waterline being destroyed. The North Kaibab Trail is also closed due to many bridges and crossing being washed away during the event.

Officials say they’re looking for one more person unaccounted for. Flood waters also destroyed 40% of the Transcanyon Waterline and numerous foot bridges that span the North Kaibab Trail, which is closed. Stage-4 water conservation measures are also in place.
8/31 Grand Canyon Park officials say a massive search for missing people in the canyon continues today with 2-bodies recovered so far. Up to 15-people were reported as missing since flooding hit Phantom Ranch Saturday afternoon.
