The states Autauga County Schools officials are “restrained” for 14 days from implementing the AHSAA’s current ineligibility determination and directive that “J.B.” is ineligible for varsity athletic competition at Prattville High School.

A federal judge has scheduled a hearing on a request by a Prattville High School football player, who has been declared homeless, for immediate eligibility to play on the team.

Court documents filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama seek to restore eligibility for J.B., a Prattville High senior football player.

Students are estimated to put in around 75 hours of marching practice before the first game of the season.
